Around 75% of their time is spent looking after repeat clients. Mary Rossi Travel has become a brand. "Our clients feel they know the staff in the business. I continually get a buzz meeting our long-term clients travelling to meet their grown-up children overseas," says Claudia.
A doyenne of the Australian travel industry, Mary Rossi knows the world like the back of her hand.
A former political and legal researcher, speech writer, ABC television presenter and librarian, she turned her passion for travel into a career in the 1970s by launching her own travel agency, Mary Rossi Travel, which has won many awards in its 26-year history.
A tireless community worker, she was awarded an OBE in 1979 and the prestigious French Medal of Tourism in 1992. Mary, and her husband Theo, have 10 children, 33 grandchildren and a history of 53 years of happy marriage.
