The original owner of Sea Cloud, heriress Marjorie Merriweather Post spared no expense to create what was then the largest and most luxurious private sailing ship ever built. Launched in 1931, the ship was host to dignitaries and royalty.

Lovingly restored and modernised, rich in history and tradition, the 65 passenger Sea Cloud, its 94 passenger sister ship Sea Cloud II and now Sea Cloud Hussar are icons in the world of luxury passenger sailing ships, delighting discerning passengers of all ages.

Just like her beautiful sister ships, Sea Cloud Hussar will be sailed in the traditional way - by hand. The largest full-rigged, three-mast passenger ship ever built, she will set new standards for those with sophisticated tastes.  

She caters for 136 passengers and is the first sailing ship to offer verandah suites. She also features a wellness and spa with sauna, massage, beauty parlour and sun beds. There is a swimming platform and fitness area with ocean views. 

Her maiden voyage will be to the Middle East, starting in the European autumn with journeys through the Red Sea and begins a series of cruises around the Gulf of Oman and into the Persian Gulf.

There is a great choice of itineraries and shore excursions in east and west Mediterranean cruising waters; Baltic cruises from Hamburg to St Petersburg; Trans Atlantic voyages and leisurely sailing through the Caribbean islands - providing something for everyone. And yes, when the winds are calm there is always the powerful engine to ensure the schedules are adhered to.
